The Fotodiox Miranda to Canon EOS Lens adapter with confirmation chip allows you to place your favorite Miranda lens on your Canon EOS body. This adapter gives you the ability to use your irreplaceable prime lens and saves you the cost of purchasing new lenses. The adapters are precision made to insure the perfect fit. The lens will fit physically, but the automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, and other functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. In this case, "stop-down mode" will need to be used when metering, since the lens does not have the ability to have its aperture controlled by the camera body. The added microchip (or dandelion chip) enables the focusing confirmation function with EOS Digital bodies, which helps the photographer to focus even in dark situations. You can shoot with manual mode or aperture priority mode. The dandelion chip does NOT work on Canon EOS 5D Mark III. The optical correction glass is removable, which shortens the focusing range of the lens for a macro-like ability. Infinity focusing is guaranteed.
