The Fotodiox Visoflex M to- Canon EOS Lens adapter with confirmation chip allows you to place your favorite Visoflex M lens on your Canon EOS body. This adapter gives you the ability to use your irreplaceable prime lens and saves you the cost of purchasing new lenses. The adapters are precision made to insure the perfect fit. The lens will fit physically, but the automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, and other functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. In this case, "stop-down mode" will need to be used when metering, since the lens does not have the ability to have its aperture controlled by the camera body. The added microchip (or dandelion chip) enables the focusing confirmation function with EOS Digital bodies, which helps the photographer to focus even in dark situations. You can shoot with manual mode or aperture priority mode. The dandelion chip does NOT work on Canon EOS 5D Mark III. Infinity focusing is guaranteed.

Take out the the camera's remote-control terminal cover.
Firmly insert the plug of the remote shutter into the camera's remote control terminal and turn your camera on.
The remote shutter works in two levels: press the shutter halfway down to achieve focus, you will hear the focus beep and see the focus indicator in your camera's viewfinder; press the shutter complete down to activate shutter release.
Press the shutter complete down and slide it forward will lock the shutter. This is particular useful when you need to use long time exposure (bulb).
